We wanted to tell you how amazingly fantastic your breakfast was!!! It was a beautiful presentation and absolutely delicious!

My uncle was so happy that we were catered to our kosher standards at the hotel of his choosing and at his standards of elegance!

Thank you for the kiddish HaShem with your attention to details of fine dining!

History

Dahan Kosher Caterers opened in 1997 and served the entire Maryland/Washington DC Jewish community, and was the first Kosher Catering Company based in the DC Metro area.

In 2011, Rabbi I. David Bacharach, bought Dahan Caterers from David Dahan, and rebranded the company to Potomac 18.  In Hebrew, the number 18 means good luck and the word, chai, means “to long life” thus the name. We still service the same hotels, venues; corporate and social clients and families continue from the past and welcome our new friend and customers.  We have catered hundreds of Mitzvah's and Weddings throughout the years.

Potomac 18 began as Dahan Caterers in 1997 and was the first Kosher Catering Company based in the DC Metro area to service Kosher Catering needs.  In 2011, Rabbi I. David Bacharach, bought Dahan Caterers from David Dahan and rebranded the company Potomac 18.  In Hebrew, the number 18, chai, means good luck thus the name. We still service the same hotels, venues, corporate and social clients we always have as Dahan and are blessed families continue to come to us for Mitzvah's and Weddings.

David Dahan and his daughter Karin are in Israel now running a catering business again.  Most of Rabbi Bacharach's family has been involved in the business in one aspect or another here at Potomac 18.  The plan is Potomac 18 will remain a family owned business in Montgomery County for many generations to come.
